A lead-generation website with an AI assistant
rivetcommerce.com — the site you’re on. Built to turn visitors into qualified enquiries for a one-person service business, with no sales team and no stack of monthly tools. Everything below is live: you can try it on this page.

The brief
A service business lives on enquiries. This one needed to answer questions at any hour, catch the people who aren’t ready to talk yet, book calls without email ping-pong, and give one person a single place to work every lead — without paying for five separate subscriptions to do it.
What I built
An AI assistant with a person behind it
The chat answers questions about services, prices and process at any hour, from a knowledge base written for this business — not the open internet. When someone asks for a human, the conversation is handed over live and I reply from the admin console, in the same window.
A free offer that qualifies the lead
The free store audit is the first conversation: one field to start, an email to finish, and a live public count of how many requests are in the queue. Every request lands with a deadline measured on working days, and people who share it with someone else get priority — so a happy lead brings the next one.
Booking without the back-and-forth
A calendar that only offers free slots, an email to the owner the moment a call is booked, and a review invitation sent after a real booking — not to everyone who visits.
Content that brings people in
A free earnings calculator, printable checklists and articles, each ending in the next step rather than a dead end. Structured data and sitemaps on every page, so search engines and AI assistants can read what's offered.
One console for every lead
Chats, contact messages, bookings and audit requests in one place, each with the visitor's journey beside it — which pages they read and where they came from — before replying. Replies go out from the business email, so the thread continues in a normal inbox.
Fast, owned and watched
Server-rendered pages on the business's own server rather than a page-builder subscription, deployed automatically on every change, checked hourly with an email if it ever goes down, and the admin protected against password guessing.
Not a store? Same pieces.
Swap “free store audit” for whatever your first conversation is — a freight quote, a dispatch consultation, a site survey, a free assessment. The parts don’t change: an assistant handling the routine questions at 2am, a short form that qualifies the enquiry, a calendar, and one place where you see every lead and what they looked at before they got in touch.
Try it yourself
- Ask the assistant anythingUse the chat bubble in the corner of this page — and ask for a human to see the hand-off.
- Walk through the free-offer funnelThe audit page: form, live queue count, and the share-for-priority link.
