PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Rivet Commerce ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, contact us, or engage us for services. By using our website or services, you agree to the terms below.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you provide — your name, email, phone number, company, and project details, shared through our contact form, chat assistant, call bookings, or partner application. Partner accounts also store a securely hashed password.
- Information collected automatically — basic analytics about how the site is used, so we can improve it. We don’t use it to advertise to you or track you across other websites.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to enquiries and provide the services you request
- Scope, deliver, and invoice engagements
- Send transactional emails (proposals, contracts, project updates, booking confirmations)
- Understand how visitors use the site and improve its design and performance
- Operate partner accounts and show partners their own private profile insights
- Invite clients to leave a review after a completed booking (see Section 6)
- Protect the site against abuse and comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information, ever.
3. Cookies
We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The site uses only what it needs to work — such as keeping you signed in to a partner account — along with privacy-friendly analytics to measure usage. You can clear or block cookies anytime in your browser settings.
4. AI Chat Assistant
Our site includes our own AI chat assistant. Messages you send to it are processed to generate replies, and conversations are stored so we can follow up and improve the assistant. Please don’t share sensitive personal, financial, or confidential information in the chat — for anything sensitive, contact us directly instead.
5. Partner Accounts & Profiles
If you apply to or join our partner network, the profile details you submit (name, role, bio, skills, links, and any portfolio items) are shown on a public partner profile page once approved. We also give each partner private insights — view and click counts on their own profile — visible only to them and to us. You can edit or request removal of your profile at any time via your account or by contacting us.
6. Reviews
After a completed call booking, we may send you an invitation to review our services through Trustpilot. To do this, your name and email are shared with Trustpilot solely to send that invitation. Trustpilot processes this data under its own privacy policy. Leaving a review is entirely optional.
7. How We Share Information
We share information only with the trusted service providers that help us run the site and our business — for example, our cloud hosting and database providers, file storage, email and form-delivery services, our analytics provider (Microsoft Clarity), security services that help us protect the site and filter automated traffic, and Trustpilot for review invitations. These providers may only handle your data to perform services for us.
We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rivet Commerce, our clients, or others. We never sell your personal information.
8. Data Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information — including HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls on internal systems, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to keep your data safe.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time frame.
If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. International Transfers
Rivet Commerce is based in Poland and operates worldwide. If you are accessing our services from another country, be aware that information we collect may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Poland, the EU, or other countries where our service providers operate.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the changes are material, give you additional notice (such as a banner on our website or an email).
14. Contact Us
